Oddly, the statements that I made regarding the assistance that the Russian government has given to aid Bashar Assad in his murderous campaign and the other statement I made about Russia’s aims to keep it’s one and only base in the Middle East at the Syrian people’s expense (which is just off the Syrian coast, conveniently) didn’t make it past the editing process.  Hmmm…  So I’m just including it now!
